چکیده
Two industrial wastes (IW1 and IW2) were investigated as potential sorbents to retain cadmium lead from contaminated water. The sorption experiments have been conducted through lab-engineered cartridge filtration system in order get close possible processes. effectiveness of IW1 IW2 compared that activated charcoal Norit® (AC), the best-known matrix for its excellent retention capacity. isotherms metals on three solid (IW1, AC) built, then mathematically modelled. Free Gibbs energy (ΔG°) processes well equilibrium parameter (RL) calculated each pollutant-sorbent couple. study revealed that: i) sorption, was much more effective than especially AC (18-fold higher term maximal capacity); ii) if slightly less lead, it can be still considered an interesting sorbent due low cost; iii) spontaneous IW1, almost half IW2; iv) regarding retention, spontaneous; (v) mainly explained by precipitation since otavite, cerussite hydrocerussite identified characterized X-ray diffraction used sorbents. showed studied stood out new efficient materials with power equal or greater reference material AC. prospect a generation lasting efficiency water depollution agents comes at key moment search perspectives circular economy.

Removal of Heavy Metals from Waste Water Using Water Hyacinth
-Water pollution has become one of the most serious problems of today’s civilization. In the last few years considerable amount of research has been done on the potential of aquatic macrophytes for pollutant removal or even as bio-indicators for heavy metals in aquatic ecosystems. Water hyacinth is one of the aquatic plant species successfully used for wastewater treatment. It is very efficient...
متن کاملRemoval of Heavy Metals from Industrial Wastewater Using Rice Husks
Heavy metals are widely used in textile industries and significant losses occur during the manufacture and processing of textiles, and these lost heavy metals are discharged in the effluent. Adsorption of heavy metals is a new technology for treatment of wastewater containing different types of selected heavy metals. In this study, adsorbents Carbonized Rice Husk (CRH) and Activated Rice Husk (...

Water pollution caused by toxic elements is one of the most important environmental problems in the world. Heavy metals are toxic to human and dangerous for the environment. The objectives of this study were: the effects of chelating agents on heavy metals extraction from polluted water were carried out to examine. In different concentrations : 0.01, 0.05, 0.1 mg/l of Chelating agents: Ethylene...
متن کاملRemoval of heavy metals from waste water using different biosorbents
The discharge of waste water containing heavy metals like Cr, Cd, Cu from tanneries, electroplating units, metal processing industry etc is the major cause for metal pollution which in turn causes adverse effects in the environment. The conventional methods available for removal of heavy metal are costly and also produce some toxic sludge. This has lead to the invention of new technology like b...
متن کاملElectrokinetic enhancement removal of heavy metals from industrial wastewater sludge.
An enhanced electrokinetic process for removal of metals (Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb, Zn) from an industrial wastewater sludge was performed. The electrokinetic experiments were conducted under a constant potential gradient (1.25 V cm(-1)) with processing fluids of tap water (TW), sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) and citric acid (CA) for 5 days. Results showed that metal removal efficiency of heavy metals f...
